Wall heights are uniform and designed to avoid the requirement for structural engineering. The top of each wall returns into grade, thus forming a harmonious and elegant relationship with the existing hillside.

The result is an outdoor living space that expresses the architectural characteristics and function of the clients' home into the landscape.
Above: The upper terrace features an 18' x 36' pool with integral spa, sun shelf, swim lane, and wraparound underwater bench. A 3' square fire pit is aligned with the spa, thereby accentuating the Fire & Water motif, and perimeter plantings connect the space to the surrounding wooded areas while breaking up the horizontal monotony of the pool and patio.
