Above: Critical alignments of proposed hardscape features express the architectural characteristics of the residence into the landscape, while planted beds extend the wooded area around the pool - albeit at a more human scale. The resulting counterpoint is a harmonious outdoor living space that blurs the line between built and natural environments.
Above: Redbuds - adjacent to the shallow and deep ends of the pool - are native trees with purple flowers in early spring that announce the approaching pool season. Hydrangea and Liriope provide beautiful blooms that persist late into the season. Notice how the curated plant pallet spills out of the wood line to embrace the poolscape and its users.
Above: The pool features a spa, sun shelf, swim lane, and wraparound underwater bench in the deep end. An automatic cover addresses safety concerns while extending the pool season by mitigating heat loss. 24" wide coping creates an unbroken frame around the pool while matching 18" wide perimeter patio banding neatly frames the entire space.
