The surrounding hills, and clouds above, resemble an impressionistic painting as reflected in the waters of the pool and lake, thereby blurring the line between built and natural.

Invasive vegetation was removed and replaced with native plantings, and a stormwater management system was designed to mitigate runoff into the lake, thus netting a post- construction footprint that is less environmentally disruptive than existing conditions.

Above: Perennials in bed areas and urns add a splash of color to an outdoor living space that celebrates water. The cable railing, required by code for safety, was chosen to preserve views of the lake as seen from the pool and patio areas. Lounge areas (rooms) around the pool are designed to visually connect site users to the lake or to others on the deck to the left.
